What is the difference between Microblading & Powder Brow
Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the browline. Powdered brows help clients achieve more of a powdered or ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great for clients with oily or mature skin.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:
• 24 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.
• 72 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin or Vitamin E unless medically necessary.
• Botox should be done 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the procedure.
• Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase your pain.
• No waxing, tanning or tinting 3 days before.
• Arrive with no makeup for your appointment. A lot of wiping of pigment takes place and makeup can get ruined, so save yourself the hassle!
• Be prepared for your brows to look a little red and really dark! – don’t worry, they will fade in color 30-50%.
You are NOT a suitable candidate for this procedure if you are:
• Pregnant
• History of Keloids or Hypertrophic scarring
• Diabetic (require doctor’s clearance)
• Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
• Viral infections and/or diseases
• Epilepsy
• Pacemaker or major heart problems
• Organ transplant
• Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
• Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
• Accutane in the past year
• Heart conditions, Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Poor general health.
• Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing would make you NOT a good candidate for micropigmentation procedures.
How long does a microblading treatment take?
Microblading is a 2 step process, usually 6-8 weeks apart. The first appointment is a consultation, which is often combined with your first procedure, the second is a touch up. It is important to complete both the initial procedure and touch up.
How long can I expect it to last?
The pigment used in microblading is semi-permanent and can last between 1-3 years. The pigment will begin to fade within 12 months. In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months to 24 months maximum.
What is Permanent Makeup:
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eyelining and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids.
Is there a deposit?
A $50 deposit is required for all permanent makeup appointments. Taken when appointment is scheduled. Deposit gets rolled into the cost of the PMU, but is non refundable and will be held if appointment is canceled within 48 hours of said service
Will my treatment hurt?
Each persons pain tolerance varies, however, an effective topical anesthetic is applied before and during all treatments to ensure you remain comfortable.
How old do I have to be to get permanent makeup?
You must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatment
Who cannot receive permanent makeup?
Women who are pregnant or nursing cannot receive treatment. Those who are on blood thinners cannot receive treatment. People who have uncontrolled diabetes, blood disorders, allergies to certain ingredients, Amyloidosis or cardiac valve disease cannot receive treatment. If you have questions about whether or not you are a good candidate for treatment please contact us for a complimentary consultation.
Can I bring a guest to my appointment?
While we love meeting your friends and family, we prefer not to have children or guests in the room during your appointment.
Is permanent makeup safe?
Great care is taken to provide a sterile treatment area. All supplies, including needles, are single-use and disposed of properly after treatment. After treatment, the work space is thoroughly disinfected. All OSHA and DORA standards and protocols are strictly followed to ensure both the clients’ and provider’s safety.
Will you come to my event venue to do my makeup?
Yes! A travel fee of $30 will be added for wedding services on-site over 15 miles from Splendeur Salon. Any necessary valet parking will be paid by the client.
Will you do my bridesmaid’s makeup?
Absolutely, when you sign your bridal contract, we just ask that you share the names of all bridesmaids so we can be sure to accommodate them in a timely manner.
What does the bridal makeup include?
Bridal makeup includes wedding day services as well as a consultation prior to your wedding, so we are sure to get your makeup exactly the way you want it on your big day.
Is there a cancellation fee?

WHAT IS SUGARING?
Sugaring is a form of hair removal that resembles waxing but is gentler on the skin and is all-natural (only sugar, lemon juice, water, and glycerin).
Sugaring tends to hurt less than waxing because it pulls less on the skin while still effectively removing the hair. This also means that you will have a lot less irritation and redness.
How much growth do I need to have to get the best results when sugaring?
If you have been shaving please have at least 2 weeks of growth
If you have been waxing please have at least 4-6 weeks of growth. (depends on growth stage and how frequently you have been waxing in the past)
Should I trim prior to my sugaring appointment?
Please do not trim. If I feel the growth is too long we can take care of it during the appointment.
Is it safe to tan prior and after sugaring appointment?
DO NOT tan at least 7 days before and 7 days after sugaring or waxing.
How often should I exfoliate?
Exfoliate 2-3 days per week. You shold also exfoliate the 1 to 2 days prior to sugaring.
Sugar scrubs, exfoliating gloves, loofas and acne cleansers are great exfoliators.
Can I apply lotion to the area being sugaring prior to appointment?
It is best to not apply any oils or lotions to the skin prior to the appointment. The sugar will not adhere to the hair.
Can I apply sunblock to the area that has been sugared?
Yes, absolutely protect your skin after sugaring or waxing.
Sunblocks that contain Zinc are the best protection for the skin.
What the sugar mixture made of?
Sugar, Water and lemon
Can I exercise after a sugaring?
It is best to not exercise for at least 24hours after a sugaring. Sweat harbors bacteria and causes bumps and irritation.
Cleanse the skin immediately after working out with an antibacterial wipe or cleanser and change to clean, dry clothing.
Can I go swimming or hot tubbing after a sugaring?
You should not get into a bathtub or hot tub for at least 3-7 days after a sugaring.
Swimming pools that are kept warm or cool should be okay but I would recommend not getting into one if you have any irritation or ingrown bumps on the skin.
What is a lash lift?
It’s a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, I’ll apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!
How do I prep for the session?
PLEASE ARRIVE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT COMPLETELY FREE OF EYE MAKE UP! Also, you must stop usage of waterproof mascara at least 2 days prior to your Lift! If you wear contacts, they must be removed.
What is the difference between a lash lift & extensions?
Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different animals. I will not be adding any additional lashes to you. I will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.
Post Treatment:
Pretty simple: Don’t get your lashes wet or apply anything at all to them for 24 hours. Steer clear of waterproof mascara the entire life of your Lift. Brush out the lashes daily.
How long does the effect last?
Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks.
How long will my Lash Tint Last?
3-6 Weeks
Can I wear mascara with my lash tinting?
Yes, but the mascara remover will fade the dye, shortening the life of your lash tinting.
